Jules Moigniez was a French sculptor known for his highly detailed bronze casts of animals by the lost wax bronze casting process. This sculpture displays well with its polished bronze beak and talons with detailed wing feathers. Cast into the bronze base is "J. Moigniez" as shown in pictures.
